St.John's Episcopal Church hosts this contra dance on the third Friday of most months. Generally, the band consists of musicians from the Northern Berkshires, drawing heavily from the Saturday morning jam session at Mass MoCA.
Our dances are held in St. John's parish hall, which is next to the Post Office on Summer St in North Adams. We start at 7:30 and finish when we're done (usually around 9:30)
We are a small and friendly dance. We exist thanks to the generosity of St. John's and the musicians who donate their time. If you know of (or are) a caller who would like to call the occasional dance, please let me know. We can offer gas money, but not much more.
